(CHATHAM, ONTARIO) – The Canniff Family is proud to present Simply Queen, a fundraiser for the Children’s Treatment Centre Foundation of Chatham-Kent’s Butterfly Building Campaign. The concert will take place on Saturday, April 27, 2019 at 8:00 pm at the Chatham Capitol Theatre.
The band Simply Queen will perform all of the iconic songs that made Queen one of the most legendary rock bands of all time. With attention to detail, Simply Queen faithfully recreates the grand scope of Queen’s live shows, both musically and visually, capturing the amazing live Queen experience that filled stadiums around the world.
“We want to really thank the Canniff family for their continued support of the Children’s Treatment Centre and for organizing this great event” said Mike Genge, Foundation Executive Director. “This will guaranteed be one of those must-see concerts that you won’t want to miss.”
Due to the growing demand for specialized therapy for children with special needs in Chatham-Kent, the Children’s Treatment Centre of Chatham-Kent (CTC-CK) is building a larger, more accessible facility to better accommodate the growing caseload. The Butterfly Building Campaign will build a new 50,000 sq. ft. facility on McNaughton Ave. in Chatham. Since building the current facility 34 years ago, the CTC-CK has grown from serving 224 in 1984 to now serving 3,200 children and youth in 2019- that’s over a 1000% increase in caseload. By 2020, the CTC-CK will serve 4,500 clients- which is 1 in 5 Chatham-Kent children.
Tickets go on-sale February 26, 2019 at 10:00 am through www.cktickets.com. The first 100 tickets sold will come with a free pass to see a screening of Bohemian Rhapsody at the Capitol Theatre on April 24.
